Brushwood

Brushwood began 20 odd years ago when Andy Harrison put together a duo with the aim of providing a high quality show for the fast expanding British country line dance circuit. After gaining a great reputation gigging locally round the clubs of the North East, he set his sights on taking Brushwoods unique sound around the country. In a short time the bands reputation had spread nationwide, appearing at all the major line dance festivals and events. Appearances at major European festivals in Holland and Denmark followed after European line dance chart success with their arrangement of Ty Herndons "living in the moment". Brushwoods high production values and excellent musicianship have ensured the longevity of one of the country’s most well-known country line dance acts. Andy made changes from the original line up adding a third member for a short time before reverting back to a duo format in 2008 when he acquired the services of lead guitar/vocalist Brian Collins. The new improved format, with Andy continuing as main vocalist plus live acoustic guitar and Brian’s virtuoso lead guitar and close harmony work, has proved to be an enduring combination and the line-up remains the same to this day.
